A lifelong educator and Arkansas native, I began my journey in Cherokee Village, attending the Highland School District from kindergarten through graduation. My professional career eventually came full circle at Highland, where I spent 21 years serving as an elementary teacher, elementary principal, and ultimately, the district superintendent.

Following my tenure at the district level, I transitioned to the Arkansas Department of Education in Little Rock. During my time with the Department, I served as the Coordinator for the Standards for Accreditation, Federal Monitoring, and Charter School Unit. I also led the Fiscal Services team as Coordinator, where we specialized in supporting schools navigating fiscal distress.

Before retiring in 2024, I served as the Director of Finance for the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District. However, my passion for direct student impact led me back to the classroom this school year. I am currently a middle school math teacher for the Little Rock School District and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be back where my career began: working directly with students.
